Welcome to my Vinson Page.  On this page you will find a bunch of pictures from myself and Gary Ponder.  For most this is not a typical vacation, but for me it was an adventure and an excuse to see a part of the world that few will ever see.  Before leaving most people asked me why would I want to go to Antarctica, it is too cold there.  My answer was to climb Mount Vinson.  Some people shook their head while others were intrigued.  I began to question it myself after awhile. I guess my final answer now would be, "to experience a little more from life than most do, and see what the rest of the world is really like."  After returning those same people who asked why, now asked what was it like.  Words could not explain.  I hope both my pictures and journal will give you the insight of how beautiful Antarctica really is.  For me it was the trip of a lifetime and one I don't think will ever be repeated.
